Take your place in the sun, there are fresh flavours to be tasted and cocktails to be sipped!
The terrace outside Jamie's Italian might be the ultimate place in Cardiff to sit sipping a Prosecco when the sun shines. While you're there make sure you sample one of the new additions to the menu. We love the Spring Tagliatelle Carbonara with smoky pancetta, asparagus, peas, cracked black pepper & Parmesan.
Carluccio's is another of our restaurants that's perfect for sitting outside, watching the world go by. If you haven’t already, you must try the famous Penne Giardiniera with spinach balls, grated courgette, garlic, chilli and cheese. It’s fresh, light and oh so delicious! Don’t forget to order a Coffee Affogato for dessert! So Italian!
Out on The Hayes, just around the corner from Jamie's Italian, you'll find the outdoor seating area of Wahaca. The Mexican street food menu is perfect for sharing over a tequila cocktail or two as the sun goes down. The Poblano Pepper Enchiladas are new on the menu, and they sound heavenly!
Wagamama is also part of the al fresco scene at St David's. Kick back with a refreshing Japanese beer or fresh juice and enjoy your favourite dishes and sides. Have you tried the Pad Thai Salad? Think ginger chicken and prawns on a bed of mixed leaves, mangetout, baby plum tomatoes, shredded pickled beetroot, carrot and red onion. Simply delicious.
Who says crepes are only for pancake day? We always love a visit to Crepeaffaire, especially when the sun is shining and we can enjoy our freshly made crepe outside! The ‘I’ll have what she’s having!’ is filled with Nutella, strawberries and cream – a great option if you’re craving something sweet.
At GBK this season you have to try the Rocket Man while you sit outside the restaurant enjoying the fresh air - it's on the new menu and features hot habanero jam, jalapenos, baconnaise, smoked Applewood cheese, and paprika onions.
