Eat Club: Summer holiday eats

Happy holidays! We’ve rounded up the best places at St David's to take the kids to eat this summer

Music and milkshakes at Ed’s Easy Diner

This American-style diner is a hit for eaters of all ages. The classic jukebox is a nice touch - slide a coin into the machine and turn your trip to Ed's Easy Diner into a fun activity for kids and adults alike. For kids under 10, Ed’s Junior Menu combines a main, side and a drink for £5.99.

Snacks for sweet teeth at Hotel Chocolat

Opening in early August, the new Hotel Chocolat will be a surefire hit for those with a sweet tooth. The new store, which spans two floors, will have an ice-cream counter and a café. We can’t recommend their chocolate shakes enough - perfect for refuelling during a trip around the shops.

Italian favourites at Carluccio’s

Carluccio's is perfect for pasta-lovers of any generation, and with new items on the summer menu designed to make you feel like you're in Italy, it's the perfect time to dine in. Try out the new Burrata e Frittedda, a creamy cheese from Puglia with marinated artichoke and spring vegetables, and Lamb Gremolata, a lamb steak with olive and caper gremolata. The kids' menu is packed with delicious classics like spaghetti with meatballs, lasagna, and macaroni cheese with a beef and tomato ragù.

Personalised tacos at Wahaca

For warm days, the Wahaca terrace is perfect for soaking up some much-needed rays. Make like you're in Mexico and order a selection of summer favourites from the seasonal menu - like Devon crab tostadas or buttermilk chicken tacos. Meanwhile, the kids' menu allows little ones to build their own tacos or enjoy cheesy toasted quesadilla sandwiches.

Pizza and golf at Treetop Adventure Golf

Make a day of it by combining a round of indoor 180-hole mini-golf with some delicious artisan pizzas from Treetop Adventure Golf’s Pizza Cabana at the Market. Grown-ups can enjoy a delicious selection of cocktails, while kids will love the Nutella and dough-sticks for dessert.

Noodles for ninjas at YO! Sushi

The kaiten conveyor belt at YO! Sushi makes meal times that much more fun. Kids love that you can choose from dishes as they pass by your seats. For younger kids, the Mini Ninja Meal Deal combines three courses, plus a colouring activity sheet for £5.95.

PERi PERi fun at Nando’s

Who could say no to a cheeky Nando's? Kids under 10 can dine from the Nandino’s menu which includes one main, two dino sides and a dessert. Let them choose their own marinade from the PERI-ometer according to their taste for spice. For dessert, watermelon slices, chilly billy lollies and a refreshing scoop of vanilla gelato are available just for kids.

Wings and things at Slim Chickens

One of only four Slim Chickens locations in the UK, this cool American chain is a hit with hungry teenagers who love the buttermilk marinated tenders and cooked-to-order wings. Work your way through the 13 house dipping sauces, which range from delicious sriracha garlic, Korean BBQ, cayenne ranch and more.
