Some people say January is the most miserable month of the year.
But here at St David’s Cardiff, we take a very different view. It’s a brand new year, so why not try something new?!
Whether it’s a new activity, a fresh look to step out in style, or a dining experience, you’ll find loads of ways to carry on the fun in the year ahead.
Here are some ideas to get you started.
Find your next go-to restaurant
Nothing beats a delicious meal out with friends or loved ones, and after a year of restrictions, we’re all especially excited that restaurants are back on the menu in 2022.
You are spoilt for choice at St David’s, where there are lots of exciting places to try. Get a taste for Mexico at Wahaca, or how about the heavenly new Italian menu at Zizzi? For a spot of luxury on a special occasion, try the lavish surroundings of The Ivy Cardiff.
And if you’re giving Veganuary a go, wagamama is a great place to start. Its new menu is 50% plant-based!
Keen to get back out for some memorable date nights with your partner? St David’s is a great spot for it.
As well as all the incredible restaurants, there are plenty of fun activities to kick off the year with a renewed sense of adventure. Re-discover the magic of cinema with a trip to Cineworld, or share some laughs over a game of Treetop Adventure Golf!
Transform your look
New year, new you! A makeover could be just what you need to step into 2022 in style.
Meanwhile, there’s no better place to go to upgrade your wardrobe. At St. David’s Cardiff, you really are spoilt for choice with everything from premium high-street brands like AllSaints and Hollister to the legendary Levi’s. Our passion is improving our offering to you, so we’re super excited about our newest stores Phase Eight and Hobbs – make sure you check them out on your next visit!
Planning to support local in 2022? So are we!
The exciting new Makers Wales, open now at St David’s Cardiff, is full of exclusive, Welsh-made art and craft by makers from The Makers Guild in Wales. It’s the latest place where you can support local products here, joining Clogau and its beautiful Welsh jewellery.
But it’s not just local brands who are promoting sustainable shopping this year. Huge stores like Primark are making great strides with their planet-friendly practices. You can donate old clothes in a drop off box at Primark, with all profits going to UNICEF. At Superdry, you can take part in its collaboration with Oxfam to promote recycled wardrobes.
Shake it up at home
This could be the year that the living room gets that much needed upgrade.
No matter what room you have grand plans for, stores like John Lewis, The White Company and Oliver Bonas specialise in the very latest homeware trends. So you’re sure to find just the style you’ve been dreaming about!
