National Museum Cardiff

The National Museum Cardiff is world famous for owning one of the largest collections of Impressionist paintings outside of Paris. Works include masterpieces by Renoir, Monet and Cezanne. The elegant museum is also home to amazing natural history and geology collections (the kids will love the gigantic dinosaur skeletons). You can catch major touring and temporary exhibitions here, too. Entry is free.

Utilita Arena Cardiff

Opened by Shirley Bassey in 1993, Utilita Arena Cardiff plays host to a whole range of events – from the hugely popular WWF and Comic Con events to stellar live music acts and sell-out comedy gigs. As it's our next door neighbour, you can eat at St David's before or after your visit.

Wales Millennium Centre

Wales Millennium Centre presents international opera, ballet, modern dance and musicals, plus it's an absolutely beautiful building clad in multi-coloured slate collected from Welsh slate quarries. Don’t miss the free live music performances that take place in the foyer every day, and be sure to stop off at the bar or coffee shop for a drink.

New Theatre

Since opening in 1906 this recently restored Edwardian Playhouse has played host to such legends of the stage as Laurel and Hardy. Today it is a popular venue for touring musicals and plays.

Cardiff Castle

Cardiff Castle is one of Wales’ leading heritage attractions and a site of international significance. Located within beautiful parklands at the heart of the capital, Cardiff Castle’s walls and fairytale towers conceal 2,000 years of history. The Animal Wall, which runs alongside the castle, is one of the most photographed historic features in Cardiff.

Principality Stadium

Principality Stadium one of the most iconic sporting grounds in the world. It was initially built to host the 1999 Rugby World Cup and is home to the Wales national rugby union team. As well as rugby and football the stadium also hosts many other large-scale events, such music concerts and even the Speedway Grand Prix of Great Britain.
